SETTING UP A BIOACTIVE ENCLOSURE IN A PLASTIC TUB

We recently brought home another new pet. He's extremely cute. We'll show you what he is in the next video. Catherine has wanted one now for about two years. When one became available locally, we brought him home with us without hesitation.

He lived in a tub habitat at his previous home and we wanted to duplicate that for him here so Catherine and I set to work to create something nice for him. We used a soldering tool to melt holes in the tub for ventilation. Then we used Eco Earth for the substrate and added colonies of springtails and isopods to help keep everything clean. We won't be adding plants because this guy doesn't really need any special lighting and the plants would not flourish.
